JAZZ ON TAP 2020 INSTRUCTORS
Stephen “Stevo” Jones, native of Augusta Georgia, was inspired and trained by his father in Russian and Cecchetti ballet over 15 years. In 2003, Stephen moved to Atlanta, Georgia to pursue a dance career in pop/hip hop entertainment. Atlanta proved to be an excellent jump start for this venture allowing him to perform all over the world and on major networks and motion pictures. After gathering many dance credits, Stephen became a heavy hitter in the artist development field as well as gathering some strong choreography credits.
In 2011 Stephen relocated to Los Angeles to switch back into dance gear full time. He got right to work booking 3 out of his first 4 big auditions, most notably landing the lead antagonist role Jasper Tarik in Lionsgate’s Step Up All In. Now residing back in Atlanta, Stephen focuses majorly on his music management company, DJ company and dance studio. Stephen can still be found performing, choreographing and teaching all over the US and abroad.
Liberty graduated in 2009 with a BFA in musical theatre from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. Since then she has been performing, teaching, and choreographing professionally across the country. Her most notable credits include the first national tour of Legally Blonde: The Musical, Harmony (written by Barry Manilow, performing in the Atlanta and Los Angeles premieres), and choreographing the Shuler Awards, the Georgia High School Musical Theatre Awards in both 2015 and 2016 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center, among many others.
